IMG Welcomes Sophie Cummins

In September this year, IMG appointed Sophie Cummins to head up business expansionplans in the UK and Rest of World. We caught up with Sophie to find out how things are going.

Why is IMG focusing on these regions?

There is lots of potential in the UK and with several insurers having pulled out of the UK market, there is a fantastic opportunity for IMG to fill in that gap. I often hear feedback from brokers that they would like another insurer to add to their panel so they can offer clients more options. With the backing of our parent company, SiriusPoint, and the launch of our new IPMI plans just a few months away, I think we’re in a great place to meet this demand.

What are your goals and business objectives?

My main priority is to build on existing and establish new relationships across the UK. We’re investing heavily in new products and making continuous improvements so we can offer our brokers a higher level of service. We now have three sales consultants on board and we’re hiring a fourth person whose focus will be quoting, so we can ensure same day turnaround. I’d like the opportunity to build awareness of what IMG has to offer, particularly in niche markets such as international students, yacht crew members and pilots. We’ll also be preparing our brokers for the expansion of our product offering and the brand unification of ALC and IMGE into IMG in the coming year.

Why should brokers want to work with IMG?

It’s an exciting time for IMG and I’m keen to get out there and talk about some of the great initiatives we have in the pipeline. It’s an absolute priority for me to meet as many of you in person as I can, so please reach out to me on 07718 382 915 or sophie.cummins@imgeurope.co.uk and let’s schedule a meeting to discuss how we can work together.

IMG Sponsors School the World

IMG is excited to announce it has renewed its sponsorship with School the World.

School the World is a social good, non-profit organization, focused on solving world poverty through the power of education by building schools and playgrounds in poverty-stricken communities.

As part of the sponsorship, IMG will be sending a group of employees on a week-long corporate service trip to the Western Highlands of Guatemala where they will assist in building a new school and playground. The trip is scheduled for March 2023 and will include 4 members of the UK team.

Since launching in 2013, School the World has built 109 schools, 57 playgrounds, and stocked 635 libraries with 42,890 books. They have even trained 7,395 teachers to educate the students in these new schools.

We’ll have a follow up story next year to find out how they got on, but if you would like to know more about the important work of School the World, please click here

IMG Sponsors School the World

In Mid-November, IMG took part in the Your Overseas Home’s biannual virtual event.

The organisers have over 18 years of experience assisting international buyers through every step of their property purchase overseas and the virtual event is designed to provide clients with all the resources they need to purchase their overseas home safely and securely. The participating companies hosted booths where clients were able to chat online, or engage via video call with experts in visas, finance, law, currency, real estate and of course insurance.

This virtual format was adopted during the COVID-19 pandemic by many different event organisers across a whole range of business sectors to accommodate social distancing guidelines, but following positive feedback from attendees, it’s rapidly becoming a preferred format, employing the latest technology to provide users with the best and most eco-friendly viewing and engagement experience.

This was a new way for IMG to talk about the benefits of our medical insurance plans and, given the very positive feedback from attendees as well as the obvious benefits of time saving, expense and sustainability, it’s a format that’s well worth repeating.

If any of our broker partners are considering similar virtual activity, please get in touch with your regional representative to discuss how we can help to make your event a success.
